    bizhub C300i print error

    Hello,

I set up network printing for all computers of one customer with C300i PCL and PS drivers.
However one PC always print out error list when stored Word and Excel files are printed, if I created a new Word file and print it's OK.
I tried PDF, JPEG and PPT files are OK, What's the problem on it?

Can you print these "problem word files" on the other computers or does the same error appear on the print?
Are there different version of word/office installed?

Don't use WSD port and alsways use the official drivers (no generic stuff).

You can also try and use open source "libre office" to see if this might be a workaround for printing these files
    or da a clean uninstall/reinstall for word/office.

Everything that I can find regarding the error you are seeing indicates that it is a PostScript error. Are you using the PostScript driver for some reason? I'd verify the type of driver you are using, and change over to PCL unless there is some specific reason you need to use PostScript.

Depending on just how old those documents are, they may have been created with a version of Word or Excel that didn't play well with PostScript. If you absolutely must use PostScript drivers, my advice would be to open the trouble prone file and do a "Save As" with them, which should give you the option to save them in a newer format used by modern versions of Word and Excel.

On other PC, printed those files are OK.
I installed official bizhub C360i series driver with TCP/IP port ( RAW or LPR )

I tried both PCL and PS, same report page printed.

Get same files and put them on another well known working/printing PC. Will they print normally?
            If Yes, Problem solved

Old files may be created with corrupted Office version which they now updated hence no longer problems.

Try this. one change at a time only on the affected PC..

Printer pref/quality/Font Settings--select use printer fonts and change each to use (or change the do not use setting). If this doesn't help Uncheck Use printer fonts. Open a PDF, go to advanced and select Print as Image. If your errors go away then you know the PC is sending unreadable print code to the MFP..Usually I see this when printing from the web, or sending true post script documents..At this pint you are going to need someone able to capture the print stream and see exactly where the issue is coming from, and in my case, that someone would be whoever the customer agreed to pay and find out other than my tech.E

fwiw, when i have issues like this i have them "print" the doc to a PDF printer and see if the PDF prints correctly (or at all).
or open in word and save it as a word97 doc and see if it prints.

                  The medication helps though...

PDF, Jpeg, ppt files all OK on normal printing, including new created word and excel files.
Only problem on 1) saved word and excel files 2) copy and paste content of those files on new sheet
