Looking for help on this one. I actually have 2 with the exact same problem. It will cycle through the pillars and never boot up. I cannot enter extra service mode either. If I unplug the HDD, it will boot to ready but come up with a D092. I can also enter extra service mode. So, I replaced the HDD. No change at all. The other machine I swapped the board after the HDD and no change on that so, I do not want to order another board for this one. Any ideas? Konica tech line is reaching for straws on this too.

Re: Bizhub 4050 pillars
these 4050's have weird HDD's with it mounted on a circuit board. I am actually dealing with the same exact issue, but i'm pretty sure its the HDD on mine. if the used Machine HDD had bizhub secure or a locked HDD it can create the same issue. I would recommend a new HDD still.Comment

If problem continues perform the steps outlined below.
Reseat HDD.
Remove any options, cables (fax and Ethernet) as well as the HDD. If the machine continues to reboot with the parts and cables removed, skip this step as well as the next step.
If the machine comes up fine with the cables and HDD disconnected (note, with the HDD disconnected an error code will appear), turn the machine off, connect one piece, and then turn on, repeating this process to determine which option is faulty and replace as necessary. If the fax or ethernet cables are related to the issue, consult with the IT department as it may then be network related.
If the technician wants to troubleshoot further:
Attempt to get into Extra Service Mode.
To do this:
- Power off the printer
- Hold down the power button on the control panel
- Power on the printer while holding down the power button on the control panel
- The machine should show the CE Password screen. If the machine gives an error code, it is possible to get back to the CE password screen by pressing the Menu key
If the machine continues rebooting, proceed to the next step. If the machine successfully enters Extra Service Mode, attempt a HDD format.
If the HDD Format fails and it is still possible to get into Extra Service Mode, attempt to update firmware to the latest firmware. It's possible to check the firmware version currently installed on this screen with most firmware levels.
If the technician wants to troubleshoot further:
Attempt the memory clear firmware listed under Version Release_6_Web_Browser on the One Stop.
If the technician wants to troubleshoot further:
Reseat connections on the Controller Board. If reseating connections fails, replace the CTLB. Part number for the controller board is A6F7PP0K00.
Replacing the CTLB.
