bizhub c3851fs request opinion on image quality & operation

Another random I was sent on. Original call the print was streaked and gritty in black. I got a new cartridge. It was covered in toner/developer when I opened it. I cleaned it off but it looks like it's printing light and the halftone areas look like a faint negative image. I would need someone to confirm or deny that could be caused by the cartridge. If it were the machine, I'm not entirely sure where to go next. I took out all the image components and cleaned up the excess toner and contacts.
Secondly, it has a output eject mechanism I have never seen before. I pulled up some kind of service manual on my phone, but I don't remember it being mentioned. It works mostly, but occasionally it bunches up and jams. I watched it coming out but have no idea what to look for to correct it. If there is anyone familiar on these could you please advise ? Thank You.

Easy fix replace the black imaging unit & black toner (both genuine)

These models, and their older brothers the C3850 FS are horrendus. After 3-4 years the plastic frame and parts are so brittle that any repair attempt just results in bigger and bigger pieces falling off, The finishers are a joke, you are better off isolating them once they start to jam. If you can run away from it I would do so. E

The finishers are terrible. What a poor design. The doc feeds are crap also. Basically the machine should just be taken out to the dumpster. I don't know if I ever hated a machine more than this one.

They have their problems. I have about 20 in the field. I have one with almost 500k on it. Fortunately I have some parts machines to draw from. I like the 3851 over the 3850 because of the newer interface. Mechanically they are about the same.

Thanks to all. That's what I expected. It was a donation machine to them, so I don't know if they are going to spend extra money on it.
