[Misc] I series and the print spooler

Anyone seen issues with the server print spooler crashing after moving to the Uni driver for the I series?

Sorry we don't use universal driver.

Update the i series firmware & function version then use the PCL 6 driver you won't have any issues.

Yes, this is the way we have been doing most installs for the time being.

Thanks for the suggestions, but in this case, the customer feels the Uni drivers are what he wants to use and KM says they work so going to the model specific driver is not an option at the moment. Of course they want the tech to figure this out and keep placing service calls for "spooler crashing"..Fun stuff..

is enable spool to HDD enabled on the copier?
also if using the model specific driver is not an option how in the world is that YOUR problem? (hint, it's not)
if i can print fine from my laptop with the correct driver that's all the mfg will guarantee usually.
nobody said you have to support any universal drivers in any contract anywhere.
sometimes its ok to say it's not my problem and let them figure it out, unless you are their IT dept :

            The medication helps though...

Had this today on an a4 i series. It was suggested to turn off snmp in the port settings.
This has been done and my customer is going to report back to me if this has made a difference. Interestingly he was getting spooler crashes using the model specific and universal drivers.
