Bizhub C458 - the purpose of the HDD and mSATA card?

are you asking out of curiosity or do you have a problem to solve?
Not actually a problem, just curious to see that nothing is left stored on the hdd from company's perspective before it gets scrapped.
I have all needed passwords to check/manage using the screen interface, but really would like to see for myself how it might look on the hdd itself. But like I wrote, got stuck finding out what file system it uses.
Re: Bizhub C458 - the purpose of the HDD and mSATA card?
if its already out of the machine just delete all the partitions.
if its in the machine just do a logical format. (a physical one if you have hours to spare)
easier just to delete the partitions with the PC, create one partition but DO NOT FORMAT.
reinstall in copier and just do a logical format. it will create all new partitions and forget about anyone recovering any data.
you will need movie data and possibly pdf/a fonts data once rebooted after the formatting.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though...

Thanks, that will be done before we leave this machine.
Another question, if I go to Utility>Administrator settings>Security Settings>Storage management settings>HDD Encryption Setting, it says: "The HDD need to be formatted after HDD encryption is set. Are you sure you want to continue? Yes/No"
I am not really sure wether HDD encryption actually is enabled or not?
I see a possibility the HDD is encrypted already and this message comes up not matter what?

are you sure about that?
SPOOLED but not STORED. That being said many older units had the option you could TELL it to store frequently printed docs (like blank forms, etc.) and I'm assuming they were on the HDD....can't speak to EVERY model though. Maybe had to quit allowing it due to modern security issues?
