    bizhub C3350 Incorrect Imaging Unit

    Hi there,

    we have a C3350 throwing the Erro from the titel since we changed the chip on the imaging unit.
    We do this on newer A4 Printers many times but on this machine which we do not service a lot anymore we get this error. We changed the Chip with other Chips already and they did not work either. According to Machine, its only the Magenta Unit. All others Units do not throw an error. We checked the wire connection for any issues but have not seen any problems so far.

      If you reinstall the original chip does it complain? If not, wiring is probably fine.
      A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
      My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

          Why not turn off all consumables life messages. Or it's too late?

              We have had issues with that model just not accepting "some" aftermarket chips. You need the correct chip not to just let the machine know it's new image unit and reset count but more importantly that the correct unit is installed. Unfortunately at this point you will have to install a new OEM unit.

                  Machine came in with the exact error message. We dont have another machines that is working where we can take a imaging unit out off.

                      It is turned of already. However, if the machine thinks it is the WRONG Imaging Unit, it'll still display this which is the case rn.

                          The Chips are from a old batch from which, according to our system, have changed about 17 imaging units in the past so i dont quite understand how this should not work anymore.
