[CQ] Bizhub 808 light copies with P-5 and P-9

Had this happen once before and after replacing drum, developer, transfer belt, transfer roller, IDC sensor, PH unit, HV1, and MFP board the machine was pulled and taken to our shop. While there another tech had seen this before and said the OHP sensor (PS40) needed to be replaced. Some how replacing that sensor fixed it. Now I'm getting the same problem on a different machine so I ordered the OHP sensor right away and it didn't fix the issue. So I wanted to post on here and see if anyone else had this issue or had any other ideas before I start replacing all the items I did last time.

Seems ridiculous as KM using non OEM was/is looking norm now.

Doesn't seem to be a toner issue. TCR levels are good. Going to take a picture of a test page and try to post on here for reference.

            1. clean IDC sensor. If drum and developer are OK it will solve the problem.

So far with this machine I have replaced the OHP and IDC sensors and HV1. I've swapped the drum, developer, and transfer belt from another machine. I also swapped the OHP and IDC from another machine. No change.

Not the best example but you should be able to see how light the copies are but also very dense. The bird is just a black square and all the other squares are all the same....no gradation.

Stop the machine mid print and pull the drums and belt to see where the image is getting lost.

OHP sensor can not cause QC problems.

Seems like that machine is giving you a good workout.

The spring contacts for the HV can corrode and cause trouble.

Looking at the sample print I get this funny feeling about the image processing.
                  Whatever

Hey guys, I had this issue on a 808 couple of years ago my issue started as almost blank copies after replacing all PM parts Drum ,Developer, transfer belt and transfer roller my image came back but was all washed out very similar to your test page what solved my issue was to replace HV Board #2
this model has 2 HV boards they are numbered 1 , 2 .
                    Good luck hope it works.
                    edited post only 2 boards.
                    part number for HV2 A796M40800
