    Konica Minolta C458 - stripe

    Hi guys,

Got a Konica Minolta C458 that has a constant yellow stripe, I have replaced the yellow drum/dev OEM and the machine uses OEM toner. I have also replaced the transfer belt/transfer roller, the machine is on the latest firmware.

    The ATVCY level is 13
    Idc levels adjust 76
    Adjust 2 100
    the halftones are perfect

    I have calibrated the machine,

    Any suggestions

What about yellow Vdc and Vg?
You may have bad High voltage unit.

Since only yellow that still points to drum. I know you posted drum was replaced with OEM but did you try swapping the drum with one of the other colors to see if issue follows with drum? What about level history under state confirmation tab?

I have tried to swap the drums around and it keeps happening on the yellow,

the TCR levels are 6% ish for cyan and black and 7%ish for magenta and yellow.

Seen this happen where the spacing between the drum and the mag roller is other wise to far apart or so close that the mag brush rubs against the drum. So the yellow tank could be the issue. The DV512, DV313 and the DV618 front piece that mounts to the machine body all differ slightly. Check if the developer on yellow did not pull out and up against the drum.

If you are converting the DR313K to color you can mix up the spacers or cause the smallest of scratches on the end of the drum on the surface.

Also it seems that the drums must be reset to clear the ageing compensation. Got weird backgrounds before and that will disappear right after resetting the counters.

PS the i series drums use a different resistor value than the 4 and 8 series that also does weird things if you don't use the correct value chip.
            Whatever

we have used a genuine DV619Y but converted a DR313K to colour, so will go with changing with a DR313 and probably take a HV board

              thanks for the tips guys
