Buzhub 364e fax screen

I have a 364e machine tajt I added a fax to it, did all the setup and initialization, but when going to the fax page on admin mode, I only get the #5 prompt.
No matter if I reinstall it, a new one, do a HDD logic reset (didnt come with a HDD installed) installed firmware and movie data.
Everything else workd perfect. I have even set security to bypass a coin vender to print from a phone or computer.

I even put everything back to stock and still nothing on fax screen.

No even waiting all day does it populate. Very strange...

I think the fax needs HDD to work? What is puzzling is thought all 4 series models came standard with HDD installed and you said it didn't have it?

Does it show up on Scan/Fax page? Dial tone?

Is it plugged into "Fax 1" ports (both USB & connector)

I've never heard or seen it but maybe there is a soft switch to block fax?

if there is any kind of vendor mode in admin or service mode it could be preventing it.

if you disable whatever security/vendor device is on will the screen show all the rest of the options?

Yes, it has a HDD. I did a hdd format with new firmware to see if it would show all the prompts after trying all the options.

No, even going to service mode, and unset vendor mode, undo the function management on security settings, and still nothing shows. Phone line works, i took a phone and i can hear a dial tone.

I take the fax and install it on another machine and it works, it shows every option.

Please tell/confirm the settings you set in service mode when you installed this..

1. System 2 Options
2. System 1 marketing area
3. Fax communcation settings
4 Please verify the fax firmware level versus the machines F/W and function version.

The 4e machines were very buggy.
If you haven't tried this already,
1. Export or save your data
2.Uninstal HDD
3. System 1, Initialization, Clear All Data
4.Re-install and format HDD.
5. Re-install fax. be sure marketing area is set to US? in both places.
