Konica sends copy of scan (to email) to the email account being used by the copier

The scan to email sends a copy of the scan to email not only to the desired email recipient, but also to the Konica mfp's registered device email address. How to turn this feature off in the GUI / pagescope? Thank you in advance.

Maybe turn off email RX. Or login into machine account and check settings for forwarding sent emails back to the inbox. I know that doesn't make sense but who knows.

i think there is a tick box for CC sender in the email config

      The medication helps though...

Do you mean under pagescope - the fax forwarding settings?
Or , for example if customer is using a service like smtp2go , checking the settings on that service to see if forwarding sent emails is enabled?

I can't find a CC setting in Email TX, I don't think it's audit logs either..Are you doing any kind of authentication? Is Scan to Me working?

Scan is working fine, just getting and extra copy of sent scan to email sent to what they use as the device email address also. But scans just fine.
The only authentication used is just the username and login info for their smtp2go account.
They are just annoyed at the duplicate scan to email being sent. See their complaint to me below"

              Hey Robert Blaze,

It looks like Coastxxxxxxxxx's C754e scanner is set to copy general@c.......scans.com every time it scans. Is this a check box on the copiers admin mode settings thru the led screen or is it a setting in the web gui?

              Thanks!

Not sure if this will be of much help, but if you do a scan to email, WITHOUT selecting a destination from the address book or doing a direct input of an email address, will it still send a scan to the copiers email address?

I'd have to try it to see. I am beginning to wonder if, under machine settings , if the admin email address and the device email address are identical, could it cause an issue or quirk. I always enter 2 different addresses under system settings>machine setting. Probably a complete longshot and wouldn't contribute to an issue like this.

Maybe it's simply an smtp2go problem...................not a problem with the Konica

Thanks to you and to all who took the time to reply.

When we set up our machines, the device and admin email addresses are the same, so just the fact that they are wouldn't be the cause of your issue.

It was just a stab in the dark, looking for any common denominator, no matter how remote the possibility. Thanks for letting me know.

divide and conquer..Set the machine up on a simple gmail account. If you still get 2 emails then I suspect some copier glitch.

Great thinking, good input, thanks.............. I already am in the habit and always test my equipment with a gmail account before I put them in the field and don't ever recall duplicate scans to device email address using gmail. Your post prompted me to send the following email to the customer:

"Still no resolution on the duplicate scan issue you are experiencing. Doesn't seem to be machine related, but anything is possible. I guess we could eliminate the smtp2go as a cause by reverting Coastxxxxx's copier to a simple gmail scan account for a few days to see if the symptoms change. If the same issue occurs with the gmail account, must be the copier causing it. If not, possibly something to do with a setting in smtp2go."
