Amazing what you will learn during a toner shortage.
Will they work in a Biz 222 without any recalibration?

If you intend to stick with TN211 then DV116 is maybe more compatible with dv310 than dv414. But you must check what is the exact amount in g/oz.
I wanna say that you will need more than 1 bag of DV116.
      You're correct, 300g, and DV116 is only 200g.

So have you tried 300g of DV116 in the DV310 models? I don't want to brick this machine experimenting on it, as it's in customer office about 100 miles away from me. I may be able to get generic but I'd rather score OEM DV310 developer if possible. NEC IT-2840d uses same Developer, S4593. Also no longer available anyplace at the moment. Was hoping to find a Konica Minolta or NEC dealer on here who might be able to spare one/no longer needs and was about to throw them out!

Imho with customers so faraway and with way EOL machines you're asking for troubles taking service of machine and billing them. It's unavoidably that machine will fail again sooner or later and they will blame you for they being cheapasses.

Follow up: I have located a genuine bag of DV310, but it was exepen$ive so had customer buy it direct. But in the future, may have to experiment with a different developer #. Maybe it won't even live through another PM cycle, as you've astutely pointed out.

Fortunately this is not a cheap customer at all, in fact quite the opposite, with my help and them buying mostly genuine toners and developers I've managed to keep some of their copiers running for NEARLY TWO DECADES! Try doing that with a cheap-ass box store printer!! I just fixed their Biz C350 recently, still chugging away, needs a yellow IU for perfect quality but they don't mind it as is. Managed to score them a brand new fuser for it, it was DEAD!!

I think by "cheap" tsbservice was referring to the fact that they apparently refuse to upgrade to something that isn't a struggle to find parts for. That is my definition of cheap anyway.
