Question about the possibility of maintenance stop in 4/ 4e / 8 / i machines.

    Hey Folks!
I have a question about the maintenance counter and the possibility of setting the machine up in a way, so (like in the older models) it will stop printing when reaching certain point, connected to maintenance counter.
One of my clients is extremely annoying, he's not very fast to do any maintenance, and when something breaks, he always appeals to the warranty and says that given element should be fixed or replaced under warranty.
So is there a way to set the maintenance counter to make the machine stop? So he will call service when it's needed?

    Best regards!

    The medication helps though...

in long, yes. you can even have the machine email you.

just enable life stop for whatever consumable you want.
Thanks, it was somewhat helpful. But there was a possibility in older machines, that just the maintenance counter could stop the machine. Can this be done now, with newer?

do you have any service manuals?
service mode works pretty much the same on all those models.

I'm not sure You understand me right. You go into Service Mode, then Counter, then Maintenance. And You set the maintenance count to be, for example, 30k copies. It counts 30k and then it stops. Can it be done?

Cause on old machines, like Bizhub 215 it was possible.

i know what you mean, however there is life stop for individual consumables which negates the need/use of maint count stop.
honestly i havent seen maint count stop used since the analogs.
but i do know what you are referring to.
another thing you can do is enable account track with public use and set the max pages through that so when they reach xx,xxx pages unless they know the admin password it will stop working until you reset it.
