    KM C227 / C287 - Error Code C6102

    Hi ,

Few of our client repeatedly complain C287 machine keep warning C6102 relating to HOME SCANNER SENSOR POSITION ERROR

We updated to latest FW , cleaned the glass , check scanner flat cable also replace new HOME POSITION SENSOR but problem still remain .

When does this happen specifically?, during vast amount of copies, short amount, when it's standing drill not doing anything, returning from sleep mode or low power mode. You should maybe have a look at that cable. Maybe it's catching on something and being pulled out of place just enough to trip the sensor.

I think I would be asking what they are copying, particularly if itโ€™s a book or the like. They may be pressing down on it to get a clear copy causing the optics to lock.
          Worth asking.
We had one of these machines in a library. I can't tell you how many times we had to go there for this exact problem. The scanner would get caught on the underside of the plastic framework that holds the scan glass. We always suspected they were copying books and pressing down on the them, but nobody would ever admit to it. Freeing the scanner assembly from the framework really sucked. You had to disassemble way too much in order to be able to lift that top half of the scanner unit plastics up enough to dislodge the scanner assembly from the underside of it.
