    I would try to format HDD and attempt firmware again. If no go then format SSD and try again.

        Any update on this C458 firmware update issue? I'm having the exact same problem and have tried everything but the SSD format.

            I ran diagnostics and my R/W Check for On Board Memory came back as NG. This would point to the MFP board as the issue and probably why the firmware is failing to update.
