C250i/C300i/C360i have support in the FW for both FS-536 and FS-539.
FS-536 will work on the C258/C308/C368 as long as you don't upgrade the Finisher FW.

You are almost right, but not completely.
FS-536 is finisher for all B&W 8 series, but not all color models.
C658, C558, C458 - FS-536
C368, C308, C258 - FS-534

Similar aproach is applied to i-series where C360i, C300i, C250i uses FS-536 and the rest uses FS-539.
Chech tech spec for details.

I know what the specs show but almost every "8" series I buy off lease has the FS536. This includes the C258/C308/C368 models. Once in awhile there may be a FS534.

Does FS-536(SD) work on bizhub C368 series?
I have them mounted on C558, but asking just in case.

The FS-536 is the correct finisher for all "8" series models but is also backward compatible with the FS-534 used with the "4" series

It's not supported - but it does work. I have a C250i with FS-534SD at home, all functions work as expected.

You must NEVER update the firmware with the unsupported FS-534 finisher plugged in or you will brick the finisher. That is the big problem.

I think its possible to convert an FS-534 into an FS-536 changing the board and the lift motor asssy, im sure someone here as done it.

Does FS-536(SD) work on bizhub C368 series?

good to know. not sure why ud ever bother trying to convert a 534 to 536 it doesnt seem worth the effort for no benefit
