    C454 black copies

    Hi!

    I'm trying to fix a Bizhub C454 who used to randomly put black on entire page both on color and black prints.
    Is not solid Black. We can still see the printed image, but machine adds black on entire page.
    Started to replace black drum. it fixed in the moment but problem returned.
    Replaced for a good working developer unit from other machine - C224 - but no luck, problem persist.
    I suspected HV problem and replaced the HV board and black drum HV electric contacts from the other machine. same problem.
    Didnt replaced black developer electric contact cause it is part of main drive unit and they are diferent betwen C224 and C454.
    when I print gradation color paterns in service mode they are printed with black too.
    All components are OEM.

    May a fault led erasing lamp be causing this problem? Going to replace it when I return to costumer.
    Does anyone have a clue to solve this problem?

      Is there developer being transferred onto the belt? i have seen this when developer bias leaks away. i have also seen the print head do similar things but if its the ph defects are within the normal print area. not edge to edge.

          Is the black colour layered evenly or are there any hotspots to be seen?

              The defect is edge to edge
