Black developer disappears after about 50k prints. Hv1 board, developer unit changed. Original dv-614 developer and tn-620 in use. What else can be the issue. Thanks all

Re: Black developer depletion on C3070L
Are you using genuine toner? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Black developer depletion on C3070L
In low coverage situations, the machine won't add enough toner over time to keep up with developer loss. On this series of machines the toner has developer mixed in with it to replenish it as it's used up. I don't have the info in front of me right now but you can counteract it by having it run certain calibrations more frequently.Comment

Re: Black developer depletion on C3070L
That's funny. It's usually the colors that deplete, when the enduser does tens of thousands of low fill black images, consecutively.
If that's the situation, you can do this:
1) Clean/check corona units. 2) Replace developer. 3) Update firmware. 4) DIPSW 46-4 to 1 (dev mixing speed). DIPSW 44-5 to 1, 44-6 to 0 (enables periodic toner banding/ refreshing). 5) DIPSW 49-6 to 1, 49-7 to 0 (enables periodic toner banding/ refreshing). 6) DIPSW 59-7 to 1 (to prevent 2nd transfer roller contamination from toner banding).
The purpose of these settings is to provide additional toner lubrication to the primary transfer belt blade, in the case of blade flipping. It produces a color band every so many pages, between the images. A convenient side affect is that it keeps the color developers stirred, when the enduser is doing primarily monochrome. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
