Biz554e J3205 jams with new exit unit

I have a customer with a 554e that is getting intermittent J3205 jams that started after I replaced the exit unit for a separate issue about a month ago. When duplexing, the paper is occasionally going under the switching gate instead of over it, and into the finisher relay unit.

A colleague has told me something pretty vague about putting a spacer on the frame by the solenoid, but I can't tell from the description where this is supposed to go or exactly what he's talking about. There doesn't appear to be a bulletin or knowledgebase article for it.

I've seen this issue with the slower xx4e mono models. Cause was the duplex paper relay unit (not shure if the term is correct) that is located in the side door upper area - several parts has been modified. Perhaps the new exit unit requires to have this unit modified.

if you remove the paper exit section and on the left hand side you will see the gate solenoid, it has a black arm that actuates the solenoid, we tend to cut off the guides for the tray units (plastic strip) to add where the arms hits the metal casing,

Also make sure that you do not mix up the exit unit on the door side between the 554's and the 454's the One model has a black drive gears and the other a white gear.
