    [CQ] Copy 2-sided

    KM 558 when copying 2-sided to 2-sided the second side has the original document but about half the page has a gray background. Tried cleaning glass on optics but did not help.

    I'm leaning towards the scanner light for the duplex side of the scanner.

    Any other ideas?

      Try cleaning dual scan adf glass instead machine side.

          Did clean lens slits on both the ADF and bed. Wasn't much of a change. But thanks!

              Seen this on a C654e. It was a failed CIS assembly for the back side.
