Hi, Are the lines of shame only for copying & scanning when machine in not set up properly or does it happen when printing as well?

If you use the reset firmware does machine need to be setup like it's new out of box?

yes copy yes scan from what ive seen some print color without the stripes though.
black copying was always fine just color got the LOS.
yes reset FW, setting machine and type, fresh FW it can be set like new although in enhanced service mode id hit restore data if it didnt come up after the 3rd boot.
your meters may be intact after that.
