[Misc] C224 washed color at edges

Good Day,

I have a C224 that is showing strange issue on printing certain color combinations like green(as per attached photos) on the right side of the page(on the back side of the copier) and also on the left side of the page(but not as much as on the right side). The issue is not present on any CMYK 100% color values.
The drums, fuser and thansfer belt are changed recently with minimal(<10k pages) usage, the toner used is original.
Any ideas on what should I do to resolve this issue?

Have you cleaned the printheads, you may need to remove the unit completely to clean them properly

I've cleaned the printheads and a small faded line(~3mm) dissapeared after the cleaning but not the large faded part. The cleaning was done only using the wand.

I would recommend removing the PH unit completely, and wiping the "glass" for each one, it's literally a 10 minute job

I've done that but now the white areas are brighter, so in my opinion this made the printing worst.

It honestly looks like at least one of your drums has an issue, dirty corona or grid perhaps. Run the KCYM half-tones at a lower setting, like 80, 100, or 120 and see what they look like. It's in the lighter shades where you will notice any flaws in the individual colors, and that will help to diagnose which color(s) are your problem.

I can't do that for 10 minutes even 30 and I never will

We need to know are drums OEM or rebuild I suspect second. Then it may be cyan or yellow drum/dev problem I bet my money on cyan. I would swap cyan with magenta drum as a test.

I've done the lower setting halftone prints for all CMYK colors and the issue it seems to be with Black drum(fits all the white discolorations) and also with Magenta(very low discoloration on edges even though the drum is OEM with ~4000 prints)

I will order another Black drum.

10 minutes easy , I've been known to remove the main drive, replace a gear in it, reassemble the machine and get a print out with 40 minutes....been doing this job so long, and repaired so many, I don't actually have to think about what I'm doing, as I do it....
