SFTP is mostly a function of the server not the client. If it is not available on the server, the client cannot use it. In house IT people for major companies do not allow any type of FTP on the networks they support and will black ball any vendor any vendor who attempts to implement it. Most consider it as still less secure than SMB v1.

just putting this out there, scanning to a USB stick is probably as secure as you can get. no?
As long as the USB, or SD card, is not infected with malware that can infect your MFP and/or call home and send your files as soon as you put it in your computer.
