Hi. Has any one tried a c450i drum in a c250i. Obviously the chip is different. As the c450i drum is cheaper for some reason, perhaps some one tried already?

I have tried. Chip is not an issue. It can be replaced. The problem is drum unit frame and some other parts. They are different. You have to transfer everything to the old drum unit. Its not that simple.Just unbox drum unit and Install. Naaah....!Comment

Today i have installed a rebuilded DR-316 color Drum from a c250i in a C450i. I changed the chip for a c450i and I didn't find any problem. What was the problem for you? tested about 60color prints.Comment

The drum drive shaft couplings are a little different. I was getting a white band as the drum was engaging a bit late.Comment
