    Bizhub 250/350

Is anybody managing to get the full life out of the Bizhub 250/350 fuser units, i.e.400k, if so can you tell me how.

most of our units need replacing between 150k & 250k due to the upper fuser roller being damaged by the thermistor & then leaving black lines on the copies.

    Cheers

Only on high volume machines, all others the thermistor wears a groove in the upper roller after 13 months regardless of volume. Yes I know 1 month after warranty, what a coincidence!

Glad it's not just us, what have you got the power save set to. we were thinking of setting everything back to 15 mins, but the customers don't like it.

I have about 250 of these in the field for a year and a half. with meters from 6000 to 460,000. I think I have found 2 with the groove noticeable on the print or roller. Previous contract had same number of 2510/3010's and in three years I did 2 fuser rebuilds. I love these things.

Fix your the man! I wish I knew your secret. We can't get the fusers to last they have actually extended the warranty and given credit for many of them. When they do that they know they have a problem.

I find these units fail around 290k, but they are generally jam free

                @ kingarthur,

u can increase the life by cleaning thermistors at regular intervals ,say 30 to 40k copies, but high volume machines always shows high performance.
