    Minolta Di-351F

Half blank or half faint image on pages. It is intermittent when copying, printing or faxing.
I cleaned the contacts on side door & IU. I ran 50 copies & had customer print another 50 and it seemed good. Called back today after 3 days and said it was doing it again. I have many of this model out there and never seen this before.
Anyone see this before or have any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

Which half is blank? Lead edge or rear edge?
I have seen where a customer will sneak an original under the DF and the machine defaults the image size it to 8.5 X 11R and print it on 11 X 8.5 paper giving a half page.
This can also be caused by DF lift sensor getting flakey.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Had once a rental Di-350 doing exactly this. New IU, contacts cleaning/bending etc didn't help. Had to replace the machine finally for economical reasons. Never found the cause but had however the feeling it must be somehow IU related (though the new IU showed the same symptoms )
