    C450/350 problem

    Hello ,

We are servicing a KM C450.
The pressure roller was teared so we replaced it with a new one( they don't sell it,but we got one from an old machine). However there is a problem, when we turn the machine on and on state confirm page the temperature of the fuser belt and pressure roller is constantly lowering. And when reach 130C the 34XX code appears. We have a couple of old fusers for this machine and we was replacing thermistors, therm fuse, heat lamp, the belt...And still the same thing. We checked the connectors on the boards and they seem fine.

Is there some SW switch to be turned on/off or any other solution for our problem?

Everytime a fusing error ocurrs, you need to clear it for it to disappear. Try turning on the machine with the Utility key pressed. Then there should appear a button called "Trouble Reset" on the screen - press it and power cycle the machine. Thast should do it.

Which 34xx code is it? One is for pressure roller temp problem, another is for heat roller temp, and the third is new fuser reset error.

C3452 is the code, but the machine responds to 3851/3852 ( at state confirm in service mode the temperature of the belt and the pressure roller is lowering,we don't know why it pops up code for warm up ).

Well the best solution would be to just replace the entire fuser with a new one.. Other than that, make sure the thermistor for the lower roller is actually touching the pressure roller, and that the heater lamp is working, all connectors are connected, and no pinched wires anywhere. Do you have a fuser from another machine that you know is working, just to try to eliminate the possibility of a board problem?

"pinched wires" that was the problem, they was barely burned(at the thermistor),when we replaced them, all got fine
              Thanks strider.
