    C253 cannot boot

    Dear friends,
Have a problem with BH C253. I tried to yupdate firmware using CF card, but when i put card in the slot and turn on the machine, nothing happened. Display stayed black and star button light orange. I wait about half an hour, but nothing changed. Since that moment i couldn't start the machine. Try with diferent CF cards and different firmwares. Try to make NVRAM clear and recovery, but nothing change. Can you help me with adwice? Thanks a lot !!

Did you change the MFPB before or did this happen suddenly? You don't even have the sandglass on the display?

Try turning the copier off.... holding down the utility button and turn it back on, keep holding down the utility key (for a while) you should eventually see "Trouble reset" (I hope) if not.....
      Ummm....
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

DCPS and RRodgers, thanks a lot for ideas! Problem with the machine hapened suddennly. A day befre i tried to adjust Print area, but machine didn't response correctly to my intervention. No sandglass appeared- absolutely black hole. I try to enter trouble reset function, but with no success. I think that boot sector in MFPB was broken... any ideas how to recover it?

Does it sound like it's trying to boot? Might be a dead screen.

RRodgers I heard only fans on the start and retraction mechanism of transfer roller. Kmcopier, is this some kind of special firmware? I try only with mass production ones. I didn't see such in infohub suport. RRodgers and Kmcopier, thanks a lot for replays!!!

If the ram chips, nvram and hdd are ok, and you've tried firmware... unless... did u ever unplug the control panel cable from the mfp board, that'll do it too, reseat the control panel cable @ both ends. Otherwise then all your left with is a damaged mfp board.. been there, done that!

                        Regards!
                        A.
