    3510 jamming

Hey guys, looking for a little assistance. I have a di3510 that is jamming randomly from any tray. It always indicates on the right upper transport section. Section A in the troubleshooting section. It can copy 30 fine then jam 3 in a row. I have switched the registration sensor, transport clutch, main motor and A board. I am at a loss now. Anyone have any ideas?

It would be a good idea if it was only the one tray but it happens randomly from all trays. Always indicates the jam from the same area.

Try playing with the loop adjustment.

Have a check on the bushings of the registration roller, they wear suddenly and the roller jams giving the vertical jam.

I assume by registration roller you are refering to the sync roller?

Yes, I just had the same type of problem on a 2510 caused by the bushing on the clutch end failing and the reg./sync roller rubbed on the frame of the transfer roller.

check to see if the registration is altering. In which case it would cause timing problems, etc, so clutch replace or clean plus bearings as minimerlin suggested.

I had one this week that jammed with every single copy from all the drawers after, cleaning the bushings, replacing the syncro clutch , swopping the sensor and reseating connectors on pwb-a ,it still jammed then i did a total clear , problem was solved.

I finally got it fixed. It was weird. I first tried the transport clutch, registration sensor, A board, main drive motor. It still jammed from all trays. I went back a few days later and then it was only jamming from the 1st tray. I replaced the 2 small clutches in the feed roll take up section, same thing. then I noticed the timing was off when the print was moving around on the page from the 1st tray. I then tried the sync clutch and it worked. I am starting to think by having it unplugged for a few days cleared some electrical glitch.
