The C5500 was end of life 03/2016, the IC 408 went EOL 09/2018..KM has removed all traces of these from the website as of 12/2022. Unfortunately, unless you are lucky enough to reach someone who already has the ISO or disks, you are out of luck. This can no longer be downloaded from the KM site. E

Big thanks to Toxic, who gave me files. I managed to reinstall Fiery. The controller is active now, but guess what - new problem occurred. When I try to print something I see a message - "the printer is in an error state".

It doesn't recognize the finisher and asks me to "Load A4, color specific, 81-105 gsm paper in any valid tray" which I guess this is the default paper settings.

Maybe I need to reinstall the drivers, which I don't have. 😔

It asks for paper because default settings is to print configuration report at startup , i always deactivate this in fiery settings.
You mean driver for PC?
What driver version you have now and what OS is on the PC?

Hi, I actually have 2 printers with similar issues.

Now I am working on 6500.

I think it is with efi 3.0 driver installed.

When I try to print something from pdf it asks me to "Load A4, color specific, 81-105 gsm paper in any valid tray". I do it and fix the settings, but it still doesn't print.

Sorry, the printer is actually OCE C665

My other printer is KM C5500. I need to fix at least one, because my clients are waiting.

open command workstation, go to fiery setup and set default paper to plain and turn off start page.

Sincere thanks to all. 🙏 One machine is already working. I need to replace the fuser belt and start the other one as well.


It wouldn't start because I had to add it to Command Workstation after the new install.


I have not dealt with such machines until now. I only have knowledge of roll to roll machines. I had no idea that my machines had to be configured through Command Workstation.
