Started out with c-4716 code. Moved suspect laser but the problem did not move. Tried different Image Control board, Printer Control Board and interface board. No help. After putting everything back together we started getting random c-47xx codes immediatly after copier starts warmup. Can't seem to get any of the polygon motors to run in I/O mode.

According to the TSB/TAD
the only code found there was the 4725
CAUSE: DCPS 1 has failed.
SOLUTION: Replace DCPS 1 (p\n A03UM40201)."Many years ago I chased a woman for almost two years, only to discover that her tastes were exactly like mine: we both were crazy about girls."

You have to love general error codes. But you are quite correct Stirton. Looking at the source power is the answer.
I know this thread is old but still relevant.
