Bizhub 420 blue screen

I have a Bizhub 420 which we purchased with a group of other machines.
The machine seems to be starting up normally, it was initially driving an empty toner bottle & run a new bottle for a short time as expected. It heats the fuser but displays only a blue screen.

I am not very familiar with this model group & have seen the threads on the Bizhub 500 Blue screen.

I have re-seated the panel connectors with no joy. My thinking is still towards control panel ahead of firmware, could someone familiar with these confirm that the machine would be unlikely to run toner add or heat up if the blue screen was firmware related.

Yep, sorry but you will have to do firmware.

Please i have the same problem and i know the problem is the firmware, any one can help me , i need urgent the firmware for this model...

You will find the firmware on the kmbs technical website.

My one came back to life with removing the fax kit.
Must have been not firmly seated or a strange os lock up. After starting without fax kit, got live screen with fax error. All well after re fitting fax kit.
