    BH421 c-3803

    Have a bh421 with C-3803 errors.

    Done so far:

Rebuilt fuser including fuser sensor assembly and new heaters.

Swapped Printer Control board from another machine and still errors.

Carry out trouble reset and error comes back when turned on.

Konica have no answers except maybe power supply.

    Anyone else had this. Thanks

    few things to add.

Had c-3805 errors and another tech went a remove jam from fuser. Since then C3803 errors.

Also noticed in the error log that the machine had a C-3201 error a couple of days before the other errors.

Not sure if a issue with fusing motor.

    Starting to pull hair out

not too sure what the difference is but the 420/421 and 500/501 fuser units are not interchangeable. Have you tried swapping fusers. It is also important that when you do the trouble reset you must turn the main switch off, then while holding down utility/counter key turn the main switch on until Konica logo appears, the when trouble reset appears , etc.

Have put the fuser into another bh421 and got the same error. Problem is in fuser.

Konica advised to change Fixing sensor assy to 7145 sensor assy (tried this, still has error) and replace the fuser assy (on back order).

When fuser arrives hopefully will fix issue. Will keep you posted

The 200-350 series had a bad batch of safety thermostats that would intermittently open and cause low temp codes...Could be similar with yours, I could not spot the safety stat in the parts manual to compare part #s though.
