    BizHub 250 IU

    Can I take an Image Unit with 26k from one machine and put it in another with the "replace IU message"? If this can be done what else has to be done before resetting life counter to get rid of message on display?

      No. you can not. You must change Pico fuse inside IU conector.

          I don't think this image unit has a fuse? I know the "di" 250 does

              Yes, Copyman right, Bizhub doesn't have fuse. You only disable the indicator before they shown by setting Software Sw.

                  you can reset the counter from techrep mode , but must change drum and developer , do F8

                      to turn off the message go to soft switch settings,enter 418 for the mode or top number, the change bit 3 to a 0 and reboot the main power.

                          Is this a C250 (colour) or a BZ250 (b/w)? Only reason I ask is that the BZ250 messages "change pc drum", whereas the colour machine says "replace IU". Please clarify the machine type to get the correct advice...
