ghost jams from lct machine has only 50k copies

everything looks fine in feed unit..


log shows lct @ vertical transport jams


where should i look?

I've ran into similar problems on many occasions with the PC 402. Recently on a machine with only 89k.

Most likely, the one way clutches on the pickup and/or feed rollers have failed. I used to remove those clutches and rough up the feed and pickup shafts with scotch brite, clean the rollers and re install... but at this point, I just install new shafts, clutches and rollers while I'm in there and get it all done at once. That way I'm not back a month later worrying with it again and the fix will last. Konica Minolta also now has a "support kit" available that includes various spacers, etc.. which do help increase feed reliability. I am unable to put my finger on the item # for the support kit at the moment, but can get it if interested.

Check Gear 34T (LCT Parts P8/26) for a crack.
