    paper is still at 2nd xfer when accelerated by fuser pulling it.

      dont think this is a problem with the loop detector, looks more like a motor sync issue, or a slipping clutch. are images compressed/stretched?

        Some epic thread digging going on here, but I'll add my 2c here. I had this exact problem last year on a C654e printing a4 or a3 and it ended up being the black drum drive encoder disk. There were no errors logged by the machine at all. Replacement of the complete main drive unit fixed the problem for me. Apparently it is very common in dusty environments and may not always come up with a warning. That disks slits are so thin it doesn't take much dirt to cause a problem.
