Re: Error code C2557
Cleaning the sensor will do no good. You need new developer, and if the right side of the drum is scratched, new dv collars and a new drum. The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Stephen HawkingComment

Re: Error code C2557
Have you got enough toner in the dev. unit ..is it not starving the dev? check that first. You may have a problem with the toner hopper. take the hopper out completely and clean all sensor at the back for toner empty and toner cartridge present. Next clean the IU cartridge sensor and lastly the Front and rear Calibration sensor. when you pull the transfer belt out you see them. Dust it off and wipe it with alcohol. Put all together and do Full toner add for all colors and image calibration Gradation adjust .
Let us know how it went.Comment

Re: Error code C2557
If you have a ring around the rear of the drum, be sure to replace the transfer roller. That is what causes it, not the worn spacer rollers.
Hope this helps.

Re: Error code C2557
If the machine is old you could have problem with sub hopper, check solenoid on it. The sponge on it can cause it to stick and sub hopper continues to deliver toner to developing unit.Comment
