i have a strange one, intermitantly when copying we get a total Black copy , if you recyle the power the machine runs fine again till the next time!

This can be fine for a wek or two but then can also fail within the hour
If at First you don't succeed remove all evidence of ever trying!

What have you done to try to fix the problem? I don't want to suggest things you have already done.

Check contacts inside drum unit opening. Check connectors on high voltage board

I was thinking more along the lines of exposure lamp failing to light or primary charge loss. Can you reproduce the problem? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Does it happen only when doing a copy or also when printing. I usually go into Function and run the F12 test pages to eliminate the scanner.
