    bizhub 423 drum replacement question

actually a dumb question. but once the change pc drum message comes on. how many copies can be made? I know the bizhub 350 will say replace drum. but it will not stop the machine. from what I seen. a couple at like 170 percent.. but I am working on the bizhub 423. any thoughts?

I do have the book. just not with me at present time. thanks

980 minutes running time. Depending on how your machine is used that translates to anywhere from 5K to 30K prints

Print off the Consumable List. The message comes on at 3921 minutes, then cuts you off at 4901 minutes. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That's why a soft copy in a .pdf file is better, you can put it on a flash drive and even if you don't have your laptop with you, you can use the customer's PC to access it.

Once the replacement message comes up you have to replace it. If you can get it before hand then the firmware will allow it to go to failure.

Those models require "drum dry"procedure, that was a new one for me.

And, you have to look close at the parts life counters to make sure you clear the correct one.

If your near the end of life on the developer you'll get a C2557 during the drum dry procedure. Don't panic. It happens all the time. Do your PM including developer change. Clear the error with Trouble Reset. Then do the TCR sensor adjust and Gradation. =^..^=

I have successfully set the softswitches when the warning has appeared, so the message has disappeared, without fitting any parts

                      Thanks for the heads up.

Drum dry is done 1st before removing the items from best I could tell using adjustment list.

                      Correct ?

Reset the appropriate counts > perform drum dry > power Off > do PM > power On > perform TCR sensor adjust > perform Gradation.
                        Correct. =^..^=

I reset counts after drum dry as per the adj list order.

Really do like the 200-423 series. Great machines.
