I have been having troubles with a white line through print. When I stop paper under drum, I see white line on paper. I also see it in the image on the drum surface. I have cleaned optics. I noticed that drum unit does not have a corona wire for the primary charge but rather a band. I did clean that metal band. I am thinking that my drum needs replaced although I don't see any problem with drum surface. Drum has 93,000 pages on it. Does anyone have a part number for that drum? This machine is CS PRO 1083 not EP 1083. If the metal grid was not clean right above the drum would that cause a white line. The white line is not real thin and sharp but rather about 3/8 of an inch and faded on the edges.

Re: Minolta CS PRO 1083 Light line through copies
Sounds like a dev void to me. I don't recall how to access the Dev unit to clean the doctor gap tho. Maybe someone else can chime in!

Re: Minolta CS PRO 1083 Light line through copies
I completely forgot about the DV. I do remember a couple of small pieces of paper coming from the edge of the doctor blade. It didn't dawn on me that there could be a piece of something caught in the middle of the doc blade. I have been doing this for 30 years. How did I forget the DEV?Comment
