[Electrical] Konica C3350/3850 drum unit life reset

has anyone found a way of reseting the drums on the new A4 colour c3350/3850 range as they dont look to be chipped
on the 224e range we have turned the life counts off , does any one know the codes if they have them for this model

Please tell me hhow did you turn off the toner counting chips for the 3850.3350? please for god sake tell me, i cannot buy new chips again and again

this thread is 9 years old almost to the day, chips are cheaper than drums right?
god forbid we replace a whole consumable when it asks for it

Not sure if you meant drum/image units since this thread is titled "drum unit life reset". You can set the Image units to last longer in service mode but don't think you can "suspend" like the 4 series. You will have chip them but my experience is you are lucky to get one cycle out of them so no sense chipping them.

As for the toners, if you fill the toners before machine "senses" empty with message on display you should never have to chip them. Once the message to replace you will have to chip toners, no other way around it.

Just change the ICP's and reuse the same chip as long as your soldering equipment and skills are good enough not to destroy the chips you can do this over and over again.
The very same ICP that comes from modifying toners like TN512 to fit TN321 or TN 14 to wherever works as a replacement fuse.

Hot air and a flux pen makes quick work from it.
