    C552 Service mode password

    Hi

I have C552 where is service mode password, I have tried 92729727 but no luck.

Now i have gotten NVRAM Reset tool, but according to the manual i still need to enter the service mode before NVRAM reset to disable some license stuff.

Now how can I get this to work?

I have done on C352 to removed the service mode password with its NVRAM reset tool, can anyone help me please?

92729727 is the wrong password. Its 92729272
however the C552 doesn't have a password set as default

            2) Set software switch setting.[System2] -> [Software Switch Setting]
            Switch No.: 10
            Hex Assignment: 00
[Note] Never forget to perform this step. If you perform subsequent steps without performing this step,
license management error occur and you cannot repair it with repair code.

This is what i get in the NVRAM reset tool documentation

CE password has to be minimum 8 characters long

how did it get changed? is this a 2nd hand machine

if you dont know the CE password you dont really have any choice but to just run recovery regardless of licence or not then cross that bridge if you need to

                        Ya is a secondhand unit.

If anything happen to the licence won't the machine not working anymore?

                        That's a dangerous bet

try 1234567812345678 can't remember if that's for the new line or the last series

also if no password is set it will still ask you to press ok

thats administrator mode not service mode

1234567812345678 is only the new models. its twice as secure lol
they did the same for the CE password but this is a old model so it should just be default

OP: have you contacted the person you purchased machine from for password?
Why not ask the customer if machine could OCR, if not then chances are it had no licence kit and your worrying about nothing
