    Re: C552 Service mode password

Sounds to me like you're about to be the proud owner of a new boat anchor...You are messing with settings that can render your MFP useless. This is a pretty helpful site, but it's not geared toward the end user for problems like this...I suggest you drop another 150 for an hour of a qualified techs time before you go any further with the NVRAM reset stuff. If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

You must enter Enhanced Security Function for changing password

After entring service mode (Utility/counter key - touch Details on meter count-Then press stop 0 0 stop 0 1 )

After see servicemode screen press (stop-0-c) for entring Admin Password Change

Then you can replace to desired password

Ofcourse i do know with this i might destroy one suppose working machine, thats y until now i done nothing yet

I've been with KM for some time....A lost CE password is only recoverable by replacing the NVRAM. The NVRAM can only be ordered by a KM tech (or dealer). NVRAM reset won't work. That's why the SM says "don't lose the CE password" Pain of death!!!! Emujo

emujo, what are your thoughts on desoldering the battery and resoldering it back? Not that I am recommending it...documentation is very lacking for such things (understandably).

I would demand the password from the previous owner
