    BizHub C360

Making a grinding / clicking gear noise. It was
intermittent at first but consistent now.Sounds
like the middle of machine. I removed the transfer
belt, vacuumed out cleaning unit on belt.
Everything looks good. Put belt back into machine
and ran 50 copies, no noise. Left, got a call 10
mins later the noise is back.
Also customer claims it will make the same noise
    briefly while sitting idle.

Any known issues with this model making noise?

By the way only 42k clicks on the meter.

    Thanks in advance

It's an agressive sort of rattling grind. Like plastic teeth clicking harshly?

Have you vacuumed out the waste port that sits between the waste section on the Transfer belt and the Waste Tone box?

There was also a bulletin about said ports positioning on some machines. I've never had the issue. I've usually replaced the old model belt with the new model.

EDIT: Inside that waste section on the belt, the toner can sort of get compacted on the waste port end and put just enough pressure on the end of the augur to put a slight bend in it, which sometimes can cause it to click. I'd clean all the solid bits out as well if there are any stuck in there.

Thanks for the reply. I found tech bulletin on K/M dealer website. It basically is same as you said about cleaning out the waste toner pipe, auger, etc.

      Thanks again

        Hello

I had the same issue< the gears on the tbu cleaner assy had locked up, vac out the toner and it came back again, only way to fix it was to change the tbu>
        Good luck
