Had to switch to Ktn developer. Clite Dv was unpredictable. You can use C220 series in a 4e, just pull out the initial toner with aboout 30 halftones at 255 after setup is complete to get the 4e toner in & the c220 toner out. DV is the same. NOW Ktn has 4e color DV' available as of 1/20... It's more expensive but would have the 4e toner in it already.

Are you reseting the dev tanks? >dealer trick = buy only black Dev tanks and convert to color much cheaper<. The sensors cant see color only density!

We have a few of these causing problems,

On one 224e machine, only the drums were over life and the developer failed at 27k mono 65k colour, the machine was running oem toner

    We replaced the following:
    Cyan Dev
    all drum units
    High Voltage board
    updated the fw

but the problem returned after 35k again.

    any ideas?
Try vacuuming the ducts and change TX belt + TR.

Was thinking the same thing. With as many issues as they have with the OEM stuff, I wouldn't even want to fathom the problems with non-OEM!

You will still need to replace the cyan dev unit, or as I do keep the old units, pour out the dev & use it to top out others as they fail, its a cheap option but works very well.

Replaced the parts mentioned in this thread and as we speak now updating the firmware, drum life (C,M,Y,K) are below 100% as well.

Waiting to hear from the tech after the update.
Just recieved confirmation firmware made no difference.
