Does the machine print & copy even though you cant see the screen is the start key blue etc?

It could be a simply failed screen, I would try removing & refitting all the panel connections

then you are down to the connections on the wiring harness.

when the ram is fried you will get no signs of life from the panel.

did you install new ram with the MFP board ?

I've had defective mfp boards destroy ram too, 3 brand new sticks 24 hours apart from each other till mfp was replaced, so replacing it was probably the right thing to do.

Good fix! Was it a loose cable or did you replace it?

Had to replace it,obviously a break in the wiring somewhere. Machine has only been in the client 2 months from new.Pesky Japanese /China assembly line.

                    good to know.

Now that I think of it, I beleive another tech at my company had this problem too.

Must be the same discount cable supplier that was making the DF-701 cis data cables
