      CM79,
Do I just punch in those numbers or is there more to it?

      Thank you for your response.

I entered 10871087 then 163 then the start button then execute then the start button again. It restarted but still showed the C6000 error code.

          Any ideas?

Fuser error, reset fuser error and fuser error comes back. what do I do now? Look for a different line of work. Come on, it doesn't take a lot of common sense to follow this one through.

                .......o0.

You could reset the thermo-stat/sw inside the Fuser case to get it going for about 1 week more, BUT there is a good chance you need a new $600+(Aud) fuser ass'y.

Ok Neo, you need to give this guy a more detail description on how to do this, because according to kkendric, he should

I think first, he should remove the fuser and use his multimeter and check for continuity on the lamp and thermostat. 99% its the thermostat and if he has old fuser he can replace it with it. 3035-4035-5035 use the same fuser unit. Nobody want to do the simple checks anymore, but rely on

I could have diagnosed a fuser circuit on my first day as a tech, never having seen one before. I hope this gentleman is just very green. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I like this guys enthusiasm he appears to have the necessary attitude to make a good Tech...
It's the old adage though --"if you give a man a fish you feed him only once".
I believe the forum is showing PCTECHMECHANIC where the fishing rod tools are,
he just has to go out an catch his own fish to earn the title of Pro Angler.

The forum has shown PCTECHMECHANIC the right direction.
I feel we shouldn't be holding his hand if his going to be a Tech -- PC,Printer,Copier or otherwise.

You should replace whole fixing assembly.

I'm just trying like heck to figure out why you are trying to help on an issue that was posted over 2 years ago. Do you think this still may be an unresolved issue?
