I am pleased that the hose removal piers are of quite sturdy construction. I don't think that they'll work for my purposes though. There is a tube side that as slightly narrower and sharpened to an edge to grip the tube, and a hose side which is slightly larger and blunt. The two sides of the tip of the tool are a total of 5mm thick. There's no way this tool can squirm in between the edge of the hub and the rubber.

Just flip the edge of the roller away from the hub, pour a little isopropyl on the flipped roller and the hub pushes out as easy as pie. Been doing it this way as long as I can remember.

I am also using this method, Thanks to you.
I do use the Neomatrix method as well. Depends which roller is going down.

When changing sep roller on Konica ADF or sep roll on C353 then I use the IPA method. When feeds to sleeve off on KYO machines I put IPA in between rubber and roller carrier. Press on roller as if you try to flatten the roller, this spreads the IPA across turn roller 90' and repeat press and goes down like on butter. To sleeve of new Konica roller I just use the screwdriver method with WIHA - Phillips #60. Piece of cake.

I was getting less that 90K on the Kyo OEM rollers. With the orange KM rollers they'll do 300K and occasionally more. And yes, paper quality can make a huge difference, but try convincing somebody of that.

I had a Konica Minolta FS-532 finisher punching my punch holes all over the place, like happens when the paper size sensor in the punch gets coated with dust. Three days later I got the same call. 75K more prints, same holes punched all over the place, and same layer of paper dust on the size sensors. They have the worst possible paper.

The story of our life. We are the Dustfairies.

In case you get J9909 on C754 with punch unit installed, make sure you empty the punch box before you try to figure out what causes it. ( I know its engine jam) but that what actually triggers it. Sometimes it pops with Empty Punch Box and sometimes it just jams.

              Byting on bits.

                Re: Zeus Feed Rollers

                Just a curious observation today:

If your bizhub feed rollers happen to be at -18F/-28C (like the inside of my car was this morning), the rubber falls right off of the hub without any encouragement. No tools required. You might notice that they look a chalky pink color rather than the usual orange. As they warm to room temperature they start to grip the hub again and return to their natural orangey complexion. It's rather the opposite of what I might have expected (as you warm materials they expand, cool materials contract etc etc).

I imagine that there are some service territories that you would not discover this interesting property of neoprene rubber. =^..^=

                  revision #2:

3/4" copper, so smaller overall tool size.
I discovered that with the smaller tool I didn't have the hand strength to press off the rubber, so the latest revision has a place to hook your fingers. It's just a piece of 1/2 electrical conduit flattened 3" in the center, bent, drilled to 12mm, etc, etc. =^..^=

One more comment: Since the Kyocera rollers seem to be more readily available, I've tried using the Kyocera rollers on Konicas. They seem to last 1 to 5 days before flattening the separation. Even in desperate circumstances, it's not a good idea to use the Kyocera rollers on Konicas. =^..^=
