    Kyocera M6526cdm Scan to Email

Hi All, I am setting up this M6526cdm to scan to email, trying to use Comcast server settings, tried every setting i could find for the server no luck. Has anyone set this machine up to scan to email using comcast? if so wondering which settings to go with. scan to folder is working..

    Thanks in advance

First make sure the machine can go out by entering proper dns and domain (if there's one) under network settings. Also go to protocols section and check if SMTP is on, and under it put SMTP security to SSL/TLS. Comcast no longer supports port 25 for security reasons so your settings would be:

    SMTP Server Name: smtp.comcast.net
    SMTP Port Number: 587
    SMTP Server Timeout: 60
    Authentication Protocol: On
    Authentication as: Other

    Login Username: youremail@comcast.net
    Login Password: your password

Scroll down, and under E-mail Send Settings, put some email adress as sender address. Dont forget to hit Submit.

1106 says there's no email address in the sender field.
        Hope that helps !
