What would cause a shadow on the backside of the copy? It is a 1/4 of the page, from the lead edge. If I make multiple copies it is only on the first copy. Could it be that the transfer roller is bad? If so, what does it involve removing the transfer roller? Thank you for any help given.

Re: Kyocera Mita KM-2550
Are you using OEM toner? Is there any evidence of primary grid discharge? I'd put the highest likelihood on primary charge loss. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

To replace the transfer roller, you must first remove the duplex unit to access the backside of the transfer rollers holder screws and what not.
I have once, had the same issue you are experiencing and replacing the transfer roller was the fix.
I'm not saying that non oem toner is not to blame, but I have had all my customers with this model using non oem toner and really have had no
problems to speak of, because of it.Comment
