just reset the fuser code with sim 163

Here's the real way to reset that fuser code.


First open top cover then turn on power.
press system menu/counter
arrow down to service
press and hold start, # then enter keys
arrow down to maintenance
press enter
arrow down to Sim 163
press enter
select execute
press enter
turn off power then back on

i have that error in the past and that procedure works.

I've had that error, if I'm not mistaken it was the thermostat open circuit in the fuser unit. Whilst the fuser unit is out, might as well check the heater lamp.
